Cookie settings
Enable JavaScript to manage optional analytics here. Optional analytics remain off until you accept them.
Kyotofish currently keeps tracking to a minimum. This page explains cookies and similar storage, our present use, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. They may remember a choice, maintain a secure session, help a feature work, measure performance or support advertising.
2. Our current use
Necessary storage remembers your privacy choices and selected preferences. Optional analytics remain off until you choose “Accept analytics”. You can reject optional cookies and still browse and book. Guest account registration and sign-in are currently unavailable.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| kf_guest_session | Account session (HttpOnly); currently not enabled | 7 days; removed at sign-out |
| kf_oauth_state | Google / Apple sign-in protection (HttpOnly); currently not enabled | 10 minutes |
| kf_consent | Necessary record of your privacy choice and policy version | 180 days |
| kyotofish_language_preference_v2 / kyotofish_currency (local storage) | Remember language and currency explicitly selected by you | Until cleared in your browser |
| kf_visitor | Optional first-party analytics identifier | 90 days |
3. Analytics and your choices
After consent, we collect a random visitor identifier, browser language, time zone, page path, previous page path on our website, and referring website origin. Country may be approximated from the network IP through a configured geolocation service; it remains unknown if no service is configured or a lookup fails. We do not request precise GPS location, store raw IP addresses in analytics, or send full referrer paths, query strings or order numbers. Account and booking-management pages are excluded from analytics. Analytics records are deleted after 90 days by an hourly cleanup.
Use the Cookie settings at the start of this page to accept or reject optional analytics at any time. You can return here through the Cookies link in the website footer. Rejecting or withdrawing removes the visitor cookie and stops future analytics. It does not prevent browsing or booking. We respect Global Privacy Control by keeping optional analytics off. A material policy-version change prompts a new choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site profiling cookies.
Necessary server and security logs are separate from optional analytics. Google, Apple and payment providers process information when you choose their services under their own privacy terms.
4. Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through privacy or site-data settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent reservation, security or preference features from working correctly. Browser “private” mode and device-level tracking controls may provide additional choices. Consult your browser provider’s current help pages for instructions.
5. Contact and related information
For questions about cookies or site data, email info@kyotofish.net. For more detail about personal information, recipients, international processing, retention and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
