Cookie Policy

Effective and last updated: 26 July 2026

KyotoFish currently keeps tracking to a minimum. This page explains cookies and similar storage, our present use, and how you can control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. They may remember a choice, maintain a secure session, help a feature work, measure performance or support advertising.

2. Our current use

As of the effective date, the public KyotoFish website does not intentionally set advertising, cross-site profiling or non-essential analytics cookies. Core pages can be viewed without accepting optional cookies. Our server may still create ordinary request and security logs containing an IP address, timestamp, browser information and requested URL; these are not browser cookies and are used to deliver and protect the service.

CategoryCurrent statusPurpose
Strictly necessaryMay be used when neededSecurity, fraud prevention, session continuity, load balancing and remembering privacy choices
FunctionalNot intentionally deployedRemembering optional preferences
AnalyticsNot intentionally deployedAudience and performance measurement
AdvertisingNot intentionally deployedCross-site advertising, retargeting or profiling

Links to Instagram, Xiaohongshu, TikTok and other external services do not by themselves authorize KyotoFish to place those services’ cookies. If you follow a link, the destination service may process data under its own policy.

3. Future changes and consent

If we add non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies, we will update the table and, where applicable, ask for consent before they operate. Any consent interface will offer a way to reject non-essential technologies and revisit the choice. Strictly necessary technologies cannot always be disabled through such a tool because the requested service may depend on them.

4. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through privacy or site-data settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent reservation, security or preference features from working correctly. Browser “private” mode and device-level tracking controls may provide additional choices. Consult your browser provider’s current help pages for instructions.

5. Contact and related information

For questions about cookies or site data, email info@kyotofish.net. For more detail about personal information, recipients, international processing, retention and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
